Editorial policy
These products go on hair and skin, so we keep to what their packs and descriptions state.
Product facts
Hair type, named ingredients, size and directions come from each product's description and from the label on its pack. Words in quotation marks are the brand's own.
What we leave out
Some descriptions use words that promise more than conditioning. We do not repeat those lines. A cream is described here by what it is, who it is for and how the pack says to use it.
General information
General statements about hair care quote the American Academy of Dermatology, the Food and Drug Administration and the brand owner's website. Each quotation carries a link and the date we read it.
Not medical advice
Nothing here is medical advice. If you have a concern about your scalp or about hair loss, see a dermatologist.
Ratings and reviews
Star ratings appear as buyers left them, low ones included. Reviews are in the buyers' own words. We leave out any review that reports a medical outcome, good or bad.
Corrections
