The Skala hair schedule

In Brazil a jar of cream comes with a calendar. Skala calls it the hair schedule: three kinds of treatment, rotated over four weeks.

  • Hydration
  • Nourishment
  • Repair
  • Hydration

The most frequent step in every Skala plan. It is the light, watery kind of mask.

  • Nourishment

The oil-and-butter step, for softness and shine.

  • Repair

The protein step. Skala's plans use it least, once or twice a month.

“This step replaces water and essential nutrients in the hair fibre.”

“The hair schedule should be carried out for up to 6 months. You can stop for 1 month and keep moisturising with conditioner or styling cream.”

How buyers use it

Pick the plan closest to your hair and treat it as a starting point. Three masks a week suits someone who washes often. If you wash once a week, one mask each wash day keeps the same order over a longer stretch.

Skala does not label every US jar with a schedule step. Buyers usually go by what the pack names: aloe and fruit jars for hydration days, oil and butter jars for nourishment days, and jars that name protein, keratin or amino acids for the third step.

Skala suggests running a schedule for up to six months and then taking a month off.

What a schedule is not

A hair schedule is a routine for conditioning. It is not a treatment plan for the scalp, and a cream is not a medicine.

If your scalp itches, flakes or sheds hair in a way that worries you, that is a question for a dermatologist.

“Whether a product is a cosmetic or a drug under the law is determined by a product's intended use.”
U.S. Food and Drug Administration: Is It a Cosmetic, a Drug, or Both? (Or Is It Soap?) read 8 October 2026

General information about a hair care routine. It is not medical advice.
